In this experimental film, our School Director and playwright Lauren Wilson pays tribute to the world of the clown. "Punctual Folly" features three clowns in three frames, performing three clown entrees, inspired by Tristan Remy's "Clown Scenes," recapturing classic clown routines that flourished in the intimacy of the one-ring circus.
"Punctual Folly" refers to an etching by Francisco de Goya, of a young woman doing a balancing act on one leg on the back of a horse, which is in turn on a tightrope. Such spectacles were actually once performed in circuses!
Starring Michael Fields, Ronlin Foreman and Joan Schirle (2014, 30 mins.)
