VisaNet is one of the world’s largest electronic retail payments networks that is capable of handling more than 65,000 transaction messages a second, while providing secure and reliable payments for more than 3.3 Billion cards at 46+ Million merchant locations around the world. 3 of our Product and Engineering Group Leads will dive into how they built a querying service to make sense of billions of transaction records in order to enhance user engagement and account activity for the Visa Local Offers product.
Speakers
Justin Mendelson is a Product Group Lead at Visa. His team develops simple interfaces for apps to use real-time payment data, enabling clients to hook into the purchasing experience anytime, anywhere payment is accepted. Justin is a former startup founder, PM, and engineer.
Satya Belur is a Technology Leader at Visa. His team enables the development and operation of applications and interfaces that help use Visa’s real time payment data to enhance the consumer payment experience. Satya has extensive experience in building consumer and business facing products.
Venkat Polavarapu is a Data Engineering Lead at Visa. His team develops cutting edge scalable data products for segmentation, targeting and measurement that help Visa clients to grow their business. Venkat has extensive experience in building Big data applications and ML pipelines with an open source tech stack.
