From 10am to 1pm June 3rd the Civic Joy Corps will be working with the Bob Ross LGBT Senior Center community to craft posters, write letters, and decorate in preparation for Pride month! The Civic JoyCorps will have 100 San Franciscans descend to a different location in San Francisco on the first Saturday of each month to support a needed volunteer project where many hands will make quick work, from park and beach cleanups to tree plantings to helping seniors, animals, and fellow San Franciscans in need. This initiative is one of the Civic Joy Fund's five new citywide projects to help jumpstart the City's economic recovery while supporting the artists, musicians, community heroes, and small business owners who make San Francisco the special place that it is today.
The Civic Joy Fund is a new multi-million dollar philanthropic project from the Civic Space Foundation that was created to address years of economic hardship in SF as well as a slow recovery from the pandemic that many small business owners and entertainers continue to combat to this very day.
Come explore these incredible neighborhoods this summer while making a major impact in your community and investing your dollars back into local businesses.
