The sun is setting on yet another brilliant-albeit foggy-summer in San Francisco. Californicorn-the west coast's school of Witchcraft and Wizardry- is celebrating one more year of successfully hosting Hogwarts students for the annual summer exchange program. While most years have proved to be tranquil and filled with fireworks and charms, this one has been particularly unique. It has always been the intent of both schools to bridge cultural ties while not in a tournament setting, yet something has been building in more recent years. Though it's been 20 years since the Boy Who Lived destroyed Voldemort with the aid of Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and countless others; people have spoken about a new rise of death eaters. No longer loyal to any house, the group of individuals have reprised a sinister and all too familiar mark on their forearm. Yet, while the world seems to revolve on its axis and meet old problems of yore, nothing can keep us from enjoying the last embers of our summer fun, right?
Come join us as we celebrate the last evening of our holidays at the Great Hall of Californicorn with moving pictures, music, trivia, magical cocktails (and yes, Butterbeer!) and some adventures that are sure to occur!! Please come in your most celebrated dress robes or attire as well as some dancing shoes. We will be sure to have a broom check, wands at the ready and badges for everyone- if you aren't representing already! Oh and of course, BYOM (Bring Your Own Magic). What does that entail? Your most spellbinding threads, wands, magical books, (stuffed) animals, time turners, brooms, etc. We welcome it all!!! So, if you dare, please join us for an evening of enchantment, exploits and intrigue. We promise, it will be a night you will soon not forget.
