BOOK SPACE

Designed and built in 1922 by late architect Julia Morgan, the Neighborhood House registers #86 on San Francisco's Historic Landmark roster. Originally built for Russian immigrants fleeing Czarist oppression, the center provided the community with classes in English, sewing, and other skills. Now many years later, the neighborhood house continues to serve the community with a variety of youth, senior, and outreach programs.
