OPEN TO ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN LVING WITH HIV FOR LONGER THAT A DECADE.
Photographer Michael Kerner will take portraits of HIV Long-Term Survivors. We want to show the real faces of Long-Term Survivors to the world.

In the grassroots spirit of LKA, this celebration is a do-it-yourself style event. Bring cold food (no cooking allowed), beverages, blankets and your fabulous selves.
The event and the day are about honoring survivors and declaring that “We Are HIV-Resilient” while hanging and celebrating we are still here, and it’s still not over.
New Information About HLTS in San Francisco
3,741 Pre-HAART Long-Term Survivors (LTS) currently live in San Francisco, defined as HIV+ in 1996 and prior, according to San Francisco Department of Public Health in May 2017.
This number doesn’t include Long-Term Survivors that were living outside of San Francisco at the time of diagnosis and then subsequently moved to The City later. nor does not account for HIV Long-Term Survivors who have been living with HIV for 20 years who tested positive after 1996 Nor does account for HIV Long-Term Survivors living with the virus for longer than 10 years and anyone who, regardless of HIV status experienced the early decades of of HIV.
34.5% of 10,837, the number of all People Living With HIV (PLWH) in San Francisco are Longest-Term Survivors in San Francisco.
