This local, one day event, is open to the public and hosted by Bay Area News Group. Notable speakers and experts are coming together to educate the community on a variety of trendsetting, informative topics including cooking, urban farming, and managing stress.

Pop Up University one-day-events are here today and gone tomorrow, and will be popping up throughout the Bay Area in 2013, each time with a different focus. Living Healthy, the first in the series, is being held on Saturday, June 8th at the Woman's Club of Palo Alto.

The Live Healthy Speaker Series will include seminars focusing on how to live healthy in your everyday life. There's an excellent line-up of acclaimed professors and health professionals for attendees to listen in on and discuss exciting information about fitness, nutrition, wellness, and sustainable living.

The lineup of seminars for the event includes:
- Stress: Paralyzing Poison or Spice of Life? by Ernest S. Schmidt, LCSW
- What's to Eat? Deciphering Dietary Advice by Dr. Marjorie Freeman
- Cooking for Time, Taste, Cost, and Kids by Chef Laura Stec
- Yoga, the Mind-Body Connection, and Your Health by Katherine Dittman, MS, RD
- What We Drink: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by Judi Morrill, PhD
- Home Gardening – the Final Frontier by Kris Jensen of Collective Roots
- Local, Healthy, and Fun: Urban Farming and the Beauty of Fresh Food by Wendy and Matthew Horton of City Limits Urban Farm
