The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History is proud to present another installment in their Pop Up Museum series, this time at Watsonville Library. Entitled "Watsonville is in the Heart," this exhibit focuses on the Pajaro Valley which has served as an agricultural engine in Santa Cruz County for more than two centuries. This rich history includes California Indians and Mexican vaqueros, Irish wheat farmers and Chinese strawberry growers, Danish, Italian and African American vegetable growers, Croatian orchardists, Spanish beet pickers, and more. Visitors are encouraged to contribute their own stories and artifacts from this diverse agricultural history. There will also be a screening of Geoffrey Dunn and Mark Schwartz's award-winning documentary, Dollar a Day, Ten Cents a Dance: A Portrait of Filipino Farm Workers in America.
