Join us as we invite special Guest Chef Angelica Mena into the Caffé Sapore kitchen to recreate food from her childhood themed Frutos de Colombia.
Chef Mena's fondest memories of growing up in Bogotá, Colombia are of watching her grandmother cook for her 10 children and grandchildren and of cooking with her mother and father as she grew older.
This special night will also feature original works of art by Mena herself -- and as a special treat, her uncle will come and play music from Colombia!
The three course meal (with wine pairing) will include:
Appetizers: Coctelito de Camaron - Shrimp, pink sauce, red onion, lime juice.
First Course: Isla Sol Salad- Carriots, cabbage, lemon, mayonnaise, raisins
Second Course: Sopa Chocoana - Cheese soup, with potato, pasta and tuna
Third Course: Arepas rellenas- White corn arepas stuffed with beef, pineapple sauce, cilantro sauce
Dessert: Cocaditas - Coconut macaroons and vanilla ice cream
