Real Talk
Do you confuse gerrymandering with Jerry Maguire? Do you feel like you're living in an episode of Black Mirror? You're not alone. In almost every corner of the country, the frustration is palpable.
Join us on March 28th alongside other young professionals to answer:
How did we get into this current political state?
What can we do to make an impact and create change?
You’ll hear directly from those with a strong understanding of today's political system - including Congressman Swalwell, a young Congressman who has been serving in the House of Representatives for nearly five years. We'll find out: Does social media work? How about those online petitions? Protesting?
We'll get real D.C. insight as well as action items on how to effectively turn our frustration into action.
Politics, Drinks and Music- Let's have fun while we figure this mess out!
There will be drinks and a DJ (and only a few buzz words, we swear). The point of the night is to get tangible action items on what we can do - might as well have fun while doing it.
Agenda:
6:30 - 7:00 PM: Drink Up & Network
7:00 - 7:30 PM: Program Begins
7:35 - 8:00 PM: Special Q & A with Congressman Swalwell
8:00 PM: Dancing & Networking
Host Committee:
Krystal MakNicole WoodParia RajaiSirrah Williams
