What's this week's podcast about and not about?
In this podcast episode, Charles Eisenstein talks about the complexities of the climate-change debate and what he thinks should actually motivate our beliefs about climate change. He discusses how we all create our own beliefs and narratives and offers ideas on how to talk with climate skeptics without alienating them. Eisenstein also delves into how people deal with uncertainty, how religion has been supplanted by science, and the politicization of science. Further, he provides thoughts on how best to move forward to better our world both ecologically and amongst ourselves as people living in it.
This podcast does not get into the merit of arguments either for or against the existence of climate change or discuss the degree to which our climate has or has not changed.
In listening to the podcast, please consider to what extent Eisenstein's ideas would be effective in impacting our world for the better and whether his strategies would be applicable to other hotly-debated topics.

What's a podcast club?
It's like a book club for podcasts. Each week we discuss an episode from podcasters like Sam Harris, Ezra Klein, or Michael Shermer. We start off as a large group and spend most of the time chatting in smaller groups. Our conversations are casual and open. We encourage everyone to speak freely, respectfully, and concisely. To do this we try to adhere to Grice's Maxims:

Ultimately, the idea is to help each other think a little differently, learn a thing or two and have some fun.
