THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Do you have an idea for a video game? Are you writing a film? Do you get intimidated at the prospect of having to tell funders or potential collaborators about your creative projects?

BAVC invites you to Pitch Perfect.

Let’s face it. Pitching and telling people about our projects can be a nerve-wracking experience, especially if we’re looking for feedback or funding. This event will make it less intimidating.

In an intimate setting and with a panel of BAVC community members, including filmmakers and advertisers, we'll help to answer the question: What is a pitch? More importantly, what makes a good pitch?

Our Panelists:

Jenny Slattery is the Associate Director of Foundations and Artist Development at SFFILM, where she manages the organization’s foundation and government partnerships and fiscal sponsorship program and provides fundraising and grant writing support to emerging filmmakers.

Jed Riffe, Producer, Director, Writer and Transmedia Storyteller at Jed Riffe Films + Electronic Media

Martin Sweeney, is a San Francisco-based writer/director. He’s sold screenplays to major studios, worked with comedy royalty Todd Phillips and Ben Stiller, and had at least one awkward conversation with George Lucas.

Clara Sankey currently works on the editorial team at SFMOMA. Previously, she was an editor at Ten Speed Press and McSweeney's Publishing.

Come with your best ideas. We'll share tricks of the trade to make your pitches stronger. We'll also help you to identify the most compelling parts of your story and articulate your idea in the most effective way. You'll leave with confidence in yourself and in your ability to find stories in the world... and to tell them well!

Please let us know you’re coming! Register Today.
