Photography 101: Gear & Techniques for Beginners

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Dive headfirst into the wonderfully nerdy word of photography.
Finally, understand the relationship between ISO, aperture and shutter speed, the gains and losses of each and what that weird graph is that pops up on your LCD. Confused on what camera to buy? Don't fret! This class will also discuss the differences between mirrorless and SLR cameras and the importance of different lenses.
Join us for an evening of photo basics by UC Berkeley and Academy of Art University photography instructor Weber Shih (@webershih). He began his career in photojournalism and currently shoots editorial and commercial work for clients around the Bay Area.
Doors Open: 6:45pm
Lecture: 7-9pm
As always, beers on the house (21+)
