Pedestrian Press: A.D. Winans + John Domini

The Emerald Tablet and the Bicycle Review/Pedestrian Press present a reading and book signing with renowned authors A.D. Winans and John Domini. Winans, who has authored some 40 books of poetry, celebrates his first book of short stories, “In the Pink”, a candid examination of sex and love from a master of contemporary literature. Domini is flying in from Des Moines, Iowa. The great novelist and essayist will read from his first chapbook of poems, “The Grand Mcluckless Road Atlas”, which Blas Falconer called “…full of wit and music. The book does not let up, but in each poem, the reader is grounded with a welcome and familiar tone, both dark and humorous.”

The Pedestrian Press is a new print venture by the editors of the Bicycle Review. Editor and Publisher J de Salvo will host the reading. This event will be a rare chance to meet some very well known writers in the cozy, intimate setting of The Emerald Tablet. The Bicycle Review has always published visual art alongside contemporary literature, and the gallery will be the perfect spot for the two forms to continue to interact. This is a night you will not want to miss. As the reading will be on a Sunday evening, there will be food and drinks on hand to prevent hunger and thirst from interfering with the audience’s enjoyment. A small donation is requested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. We invite you to join us on this night as we celebrate and enjoy the work of three important writers of our time.

6:30 pm doors, 7:00 pm show.
$5 suggested donation. Nobody turned away for lack of funds.
Delicious complimentary food. Drinks by donation.
