Park Chalet Celebrates Beer Debut with Complimentary Commemorative Glassware
Park Chalet Brewery & Restaurant in San Francisco is celebrating the debut of a new limited-edition Chalet family brewed beer, American Strong Ale Beer. All day on Thursday, January 31, guests purchasing a pint will get to keep the commemorative glass (while supplies last) that it is served in. In addition, a free t-shirt (limited supply) will be offered with a purchase of $20.00 or more. The restaurant will also have their Happy Hour menu available from noon to 5:00 p.m.
American Strong Ale Beer, created Chalet's Master Brewer Ryan Carnall, is similar to a barley wine. A dry Australian hop called Summer produces a bright fruit flavor that balances a strong malty back bone. The taste is strong, complex and smooth and the color a light brown with a touch of burgundy, a semi-haze and large off-white head (Abv: 7%-9%). Canall describes the aroma as evocative of “malty apricot pie with caramel drippings” and the taste as “semi bitterness followed by an apricot melon sweetness.”
Park Chalet is located adjacent to an historic building that is home to the Golden Gate Park Visitors’ Center at the Western edge of the park fronting the ocean. There is free, accessible onsite parking, almost unheard of in San Francisco.
