Allyne is a board certified behavior analyst with extensive experience in the field of behavior analysis. She was a clinical psychologist in Brazil, her home country, where she specialized in Functional Analytic Psychotherapy – a type of therapy grounded on behavioral science. In the USA, Allyne graduated with honors with a master’s in psychology - and emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis - at CSU, Sacramento. During her master’s program, Allyne worked for 18 months at a center based ABA school that provides science based/state of the art ABA treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Dr. Jill Young (BCBA-D and current president of CalABA) is the site director and coordinator of the school. Allyne assisted her professors with research projects in the field of applied behavior analysis and also participated in an internship at the Feeding Recovery Clinic, UC Davis Medical Center under the supervision of her professor advisor, Dr. Becky Penrod (BCBA-D). Allyne also participated in the Verbal Behavior research laboratory of Dr. Caio Miguel (BCBA-D), a laboratory that produces research on the teaching of verbal repertoire to children with autism and publishes extensively on peer reviewed journals. Allyne worked for over 4 years as case manager with Dr. Meeta Patel (BCBA-D) and a multidisciplinary team at Clinic 4 Kidz, an intensive feeding therapy clinic for children with severe pediatric feeding disorder (typically developing and special needs children with a variety of diagnosis, including ASD). Currently, Allyne works at the Belmont-Redwood Shores School district providing behavior analytic services to children with special needs and individualized education programs.
