Join us for a talk and tour by Edith Bergstrom in her Atherton mediterranean garden with its amazing palm tree collection. Edith has redesigned the garden since the purchase of the original acre in 1998, planting palms from one and five gallon cans. They have grown into giants!
The lot next door was purchased the end of 2003. The old house was demolished and more than twenty-five large truck loads of free top soil were distributed on the property along with many tons of compost to form large berms. Now more than 400 palms represent approximately 150 palm species of all shapes and sizes, including a rare two-headed Queen Palm.
