It won’t take long to fall in love with Van Hoang in the documentary Painted Nails. A Vietnamese immigrant who doesn’t speak English, Van seems an unlikely candidate to be an American activist. After learning that daily exposure to chemicals in her salon has caused her life-threatening health problems, Van becomes the first person to testify for safe cosmetics in over 30 years.

Attending the screening will be Erica Jordan, Dianne Griffin and Van Hoang.
