Haven’t found the right fit for for your child for the upcoming school year?
There’s a new school called Pacific Discovery School (PDS) opening up in Mill Valley in the Fall of 2018. Covering K-8th, this program is like no other in Marin.
PSS is focused on creating a safe space where all types of learners can feel comfortable and empowered to be their true selves and reach their own potential - whatever that might be. The program emphasizes the development of the social and emotional health of a child, collaborative classrooms, outdoor ed (Nature Program with 1 full day out in nature each week and time dedicated everyday to being in the beautiful outdoors), project based learning and small class sizes that facilitate the cross pollination and mentorship/relationship development among children of all ages. Teachers are more then educators, they are friends and guides, making this environment one that feels special and like family. Note: PDS also has the very first Homeschool Support Program in Marin offering Humanities, STEM and its unique Nature Discovery program to homeschool students in a part-time schedule.
Academic achievement is important of course, but PDS will measure its success not with standardized tests, but rather by having a student body filled with kids who are happy, empathetic, kind, confident and empowered to be their authentic selves.
Explore all this new school has to offer at the Information Session on Thursday, May 31st. Classes filling up, but PDS will be accepting new students throughout the summer on a rolling basis.
