WHAT: Did you know that someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds? And that more than 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in this country? When you donate blood, you may actually be saving someone’s life – an estimated 4.5 million Americans would die each year without life-saving blood transfusions. According to the Red Cross, a single donation can save as many as three lives. And while the act of donating blood is so very important, it’s not hard to do! The donation process is relatively fast and easy, taking only about 10 minutes of time.
