Outward Bound California's 5th annual City Skyline Challenge is back!

City Skyline Challenge is back, and it's bigger and better than ever! Fondly known as Outward Bound California's annual fundraising rappelling event, City Skyline Challenge brings together Bay Area entrepreneurs, CEOs, civic leaders, philanthropists, athletes, and other notable thinkers, doers, and heroes rappelling off the 46th floor of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square! It's not just for San Francisco's elite, though - we welcome EVERYONE to join us for an adventure of a lifetime.
All funds raised go toward scholarship funds for underrepresented and low-income youth to experience Outward Bound California’s transformational leadership education programs. And because our mission is helping students from all walks of life develop courage and leadership in the face of challenge, community-minded businesses like yours are the perfect leaders to take part in this unique experience.
Outward Bound California is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to change lives through challenge and discovery. Through experiential education programs in both wilderness and urban settings, Outward Bound helps people discover strength of character, an ability to lead, and a desire to serve. Our programs run in the High Sierra, the Bay Area, and Joshua Tree. Program participants experience rock-climbing, solo backpacking, team building, amazing vistas, and above all, the realization that they are stronger than they believe. Outward Bound California targets low-income, traditionally excluded populations from the outdoors industry by providing two in three of our students with a full or partial scholarship to participate in our programs. Don't want to go over the edge alone? You can sign up as a team. Your team would be responsible for fundraising or donating a minimum of $1,800 x [# team members]. A nonrefundable registration fee of $50 is required per team / individual rappeller. (This fee counts toward your fundraising minimum!)
No previous fundraising or rappelling experience is necessary. We'll teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful. Youth over 100 lbs are welcome, as well as people with disabilities.
