This October, come explore the magic of the Marin Headlands while learning about Point Bonita YMCA's Outdoor Education Program! The entire event is free and includes amazing coastal views, a tour of our campus, complimentary lunch in our dining hall, a naturalist-led hike to the Point Bonita Lighthouse, and interactive lesson plans that support the NGSS.
With our unique location on 20,000+ acres of National Park land, there are endless possibilities for your students to explore from the Point Bonita Lighthouse built in 1855 to the Marine Mammal Center, an active hospital that rescues and rehabilitates marine mammals in need. We work with elementary, middle, and high schools throughout northern California and offer one-day field trips as well as 2-5 day residential programs.
Through generous donations and grants, we are also able to offer financial assistance to qualified schools.
