Orquesta Borinquen returns to La Peña with its driving salsa power. Referring to the Taino name for Puerto Rico, Salsa Borinquen continues the great tradition of Puerto Rican Salsa with a driving horn section, vibrant percussionists and beautiful arrangements. Co-leaders Alberto Torres Diaz and José Ventura have over 30 years of experience and 15 recordings to their names. The band features William Artola on keyboards, Eddie Pérez on Bongo, Jaime Degros on percussion, Carlos Ventura and William Ortega Sr. on backup vocals, Allen Stock on Bass, Bill Ortega Jr. and Marvin Engelhard on trumpet and Mike Rinta on Trombone.
