Opening Day is a free community event hosted by the Treasure Island Sailing Center to get the whole Bay Area out for an exciting day of water sports and community activities. Opening Day provides a unique opportunity to experience sailboat rides, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding all for free. This event is fun for all ages and is a great opportunity try out some different water sports. We will have on-shore activities available as well, like face-painting, the SF Parks and Rec's Mobile Rec unit, the SF Public Library BookMobile and many others. Food will be available for purchase from Slider shack SF and the first 50 attendees will get a free life jacket in celebration of National Safe Boating Day! We will also be hosting a free raffle for TISC classes valued at $200 each
