First day of the model boating season at Spreckels Lake in Golden Gate Park. This event includes the annual Ragtop/Stinkpot Relay Regatta, a friendly relay competition that cleverly includes skippers and boats from the Power Squadron, Radio-Control Sail Squadron, and Freesail Squadron. The regatta will begin about 1:00 PM on the north side of Spreckels Lake.
The day's festivities will also include the unveiling of a carved boulder permanently installed in front of the Clubhouse commemorating the Club's 125th anniversary in 2023. A time capsule has been placed beneath the monument.
