Did you know that there are 22.5 million refugees worldwide and over half are children under age 18? By the time refugee youth enter Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County's Refugee Foster Care Program, they had already spent about four years in a refugee camp.
To honor and celebrate our courageous refugee youth, we invite you to join us for the second annual One World Cup 2018 on Saturday, April 28, hosted by Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County and Mitty High School.
Come out for a day filled with fun and sunshine as local high school students and refugee foster youth team up to play a friendly soccer match on Mitty's Fr. Jack Russi Field. We are celebrating unity and the youth led message that we are One World!
Other participating high schools include Saint Francis, Bellarmine, Notre Dame, and Presentation. Expect food trucks and international celebration throughout the day!
The game is from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Located on the soccer field at Archbishop Mitty High School: 5000 Mitty Way, San Jose, CA 95129. Tickets are a $10 donation.
