721Lounge@Le Colonial, a premier San Francisco bar and lounge, will be pouring for one night only, Wednesday, November 14 beginning at 5:30 p.m., Pilsner Urquell®, unfiltered and unpasteurized, which is otherwise available only once a year in Prague in the Czech Republic. Pilsner Urquell® is flying out barrels out for this rare occasion so that 721Lounge may offer the beer to its patrons. There is no cover charge but a space reservation is recommended and can be made via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/unfiltered-unpasteurized-pilsner-urquell-beer-tasting-721lounge-tickets-52171085120.
721Lounge is known for their French Vietnamese influenced bar food and a diverse selection of classic, contemporary and original libations. Signature items on the lounge menu from Chef Tuan Phan, a native of Ho Chi Min City and 17-year Le Colonial veteran, include a Pu Pu Platter, Mini Banh Mi, Lap Xuong, Pork Ribs, Tuna Tartare and Vegetable Rolls. The dining room menu is also available in the lounge. Among the 721Lounge cocktail highlights are the 721 Flaming Buddha (shared), “Lit” Negroni, Maple Rye Old Fashioned and High Rau Ram. The selection of wines by the glass showcases European and California vintages. Not to be missed is Happy Hour, seven days a week from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with special pricing including 50% off all bar bites, $10.00 craft cocktails, 50% off wines by the glass and $4.00 draft beers.
Sitting above Le Colonial, 721Lounge affords guests a relaxed salon ambiance with aged oriental rugs, decorative bamboo birdcages, lanterns, low wood tables and comfortable couches. Le Colonial, celebrating its 20th anniversary, is at the legendary address of 20 Cosmo Place, formerly of Trader Vic's fame. In addition to the intimate main dining area, there is a beautiful outdoor veranda offering sanctuary from the bustle of the city.
