Older and Scared: Career and life advice for people 50+

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Each of Dr. Nemko’s appearances at the library have received outstanding evaluations, so we’re delighted to have him back.
This time, he tackles career issues for people over 50.
To personalize matters,  as Marty does on the radio, he’ll do Workovers on volunteers from the audience.  Each will come away with a practical plan they feel good about.
Along the way, Marty will perform relevant songs, short-short stories, and perhaps bring a surprise guest or two.
This presentation promises to be a valuable (and entertaining) event.
Marty Nemko is in his 28th year hosting Work with Marty Nemko on KALW 91.7 FM (NPR-San Francisco) and was career columnist for the Chronicle before going national, where he’s written over 1,000 articles for TIME, The Atlantic, and PsychologyToday.com. He is a career and personal coach specializing in older adults. US News called him, “Career coach extraordinaire.” He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from U.C. Berkeley and subsequently taught there. He is the author of nine books, including two in 2017, the 2nd edition of The Best of Marty Nemko and Modern Fables: Short-short stories embedding life lessons.
