The first Oakland Finish Up event will be help April 17th-19th at the Port Offices in Jack London Square! The first meet and greet begins Friday night, and then we work on Finishing Up projects all day Saturday and Sunday!
Oakland Finish Up is a 3 day hackathon-type event for up and coming creative entrepreneurs hubbed in and around the east bay. Creative small business leaders and start ups push through projects that have either held them back, or simply need to get off the ground NO MATTER WHAT!
Oakland Finish Up has built a community focused team of mentors with extensive experience in all matters of entrepreneurship and small business. Mentors have strong backgrounds in fundraising, legal work, film production, marketing, product design, product management, software, hardware, community organizing, non profits, food, and the arts. Mentors reflect the incredible diversity of the entire Oakland business community.
Attendees come ready to work on their project(s) and get paired with mentors and other attendees than can help them push through to the finish. The weekend provides a socially friend series of "sprints" to keep the pace and teams energized.
