NUDE NOIR, AN EROTIC MASQUERADE

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Nude Noir commences as a black-tie masquerade ball, and concludes as an electronic dance party, taking revelers on a liberating journey into the erotic imagination. "Nude Noir is the place where fantasy and reality collide to entertain and heighten the senses," explains House of Noir Founder Britt Sanja Jusic. "The atmosphere is playful, seductive and filled with an air of mystique. Nude Noir is not about the sex act but rather everything around it."

Founded in 2012, House of Noir creates multi-sensory experiences inspired by the photography of Helmut Newton, envisioning a world where darkness and light collide, where secret desires are unleashed, and where boundaries melt and disappear. Its events combine fashion, live performance, art installation, dining and dancing.

For its San Francisco engagement, Nude Noir will feature an international cast of more than 30 models, dancers, shibari artists, professional femdoms and erotic performers. Inspiration for their acts will be drawn, in part, from confessional letters written by guests of each show who are encouraged to follow their impulses and explore The Palace Theatre's sprawling venue.

A fashion show of corsets and other kink-wear designed by San Francisco-based atelier Dark Garden will feature choreography by Liz Etler and live music performed by vocalists Whitney Moses and Kisura Nyoto. Additional high-concept art costumes will be provided by London-based couturière Syban Velardi-laufer.

Iranian-born, San Francisco-based deejay Sara Afshaar will spin a mix of electronic, deep house and psychedelic beats throughout the evening. Cellist Jessica Ivry, formerly of Real Vocal String Quartet, will perform as guests arrive.

And in celebration of House of Noir's 10-year anniversary, Nude Noir will also host a gallery highlighting the company's collaborations with acclaimed photographers Sanjin Kastelan, Paul Khera, Pawel Przytocki, Konrad Schmidt and Tony Smith, among others. Limited edition prints will be available for purchase at the event.
