Learn about Lojong, a Tibetan Buddhist practice that involves working with short phrases as a way of generating compassion. Fischer shows lojong to be a wonderful method for becoming more focused, generous and kind.
Poet and Soto Zen Buddhist priest Zoketsu Norman Fischer is a senior dharma teacher at the San Francisco Zen Center, where he was co-abbot from 1995 to 2000. He is the founder and spiritual director of the Everyday Zen Foundation. He is also a Zen master, founder of Everyday Zen and a poet. His books include Jerusalem Moonlight, Taking Our Places, Sailing Home, Question/Places /Voices/Seasons, and Training in Compassion: Zen Teachings on the Practice of Lojong.
