A longtime nonprofit leader, Barahona's work spans sexual-violence prevention, reproductive justice and LGBTQ+ youth development, with a deep commitment shaped by their upbringing as the child of immigrants from El Salvador. They also serve as a Governor-Appointed Trustee on the California State Bar Board of Trustees and on the Board of LYRIC, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in San Francisco.
