Professor NOAM CHOMSKY is one of the most influential public intellectuals in the world today. An outspoken U.S. political activist, social critic, philosopher, and historian - and a ground-breaking linguist - he is Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and currently teaches at the University of Arizona. The most recent of his 100+ books is "Requiem for the American Dream: The 10 Principles of Concentration of Wealth and Power." Noam Chomsky is one of the most cited scholars in modern history and is a founding member of MECA's Advisory Board.
Daniel Ellsberg is a world renowned whistle-blower who leaked "The Pentagon Papers," which was instrumental in strengthening opposition to the Vietnam War.
Naima Shalhoub and Excentrik - Naima Shalhoub and Tarik Kazaleh - are Oakland-based Arab American musicians who draw upon their Arab music traditions and American soul.
