Save the date for No Pants 2K17!

All are invited to participate in the 15th Annual No Pants Subway Ride San Francisco’s 8th. The event will take place at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 8th. Everything you need to know is in this post.

Remember to share and invite!

Since there are only a handful of stops in downtown SF we encourage participants to board (Pants-less) somewhere out of the city and ride to Embarcadero and exit there. This process is completely up to you, just make sure you make it to the Embarcadero Platform by 4:40pm.

We have laid out a guide that can help you decide which train to take, just remember to take off your pants before you board the train to downtown SF.

If you feel like you need encouragement, a small group will be gathering on the Daly City Platform around 4pm. Remember before you get on the train to Embarcadero, lose your pants!
Others coming from the East Bay will have to coordinate, feel free to post in the comments and meet up with people if you are feeling a little shy.

Once again, if you are confused and dont wanna be on a train alone, the best place to meet up is daily city at 3:55. If you are press, we reccomend there too.

As there is no official meeting point you are encouraged to create your own meetup points and converge on Embarcadero @4:26/4:32. For example if you were boarding the Daly City train from Lake Merritt, you'd get on the train @4:19pm or 4:39pm. Likewise if you are taking the Millbrae train from MacArthur you'd get on @4:15/4:35 pm. [note the 2nd Millbrae train arrives right as we board the SB train to Powell, so you WILL be on the train we will be taking to Powell.]

As mentioned above, you decide which train to take. As long as you are at the Embarcadero Platform before 4:46 you will be in good shape.

After you get to Embarcadero , be patient as participants who missed their first train could still be arriving. Look for pantless people, gather and be patient. We might address the group here, but not until closer to 4:40. Trains will be arriving as early as 4:25ish, so if you get there and are alone:

1) don’t panic
2) Remain pants-less
3) Look for the gathering

Twitter updates can help if you want to find the crowd.

There are many paths you can take after our first destination, and we encourage you to take as many kinds of public transit as you can.

After we address the group we will all board the train again. We will take the BART southbound to Powell street and arrive at 4:49-4:55 . Our final destination will be at Codeword on Powell. #NoPantSelfie, and debauchery will ensue; all pants-less.

There are potentially 2 trains from Embarcadero to Powell, so if you can’t fit on the first train @4:46 board the next train SB @4:52. The group will wait until the 2nd train arrives to head to our final destination.
