NO MAN'S LAND is a true theatrical experience in the absurdist tradition. Hirst, the main character, is a failed writer who was the most brilliant literary comet in England at a very early age until a total case of "writer's block" rendered him unable to do most anything but drink. Now, aging and reclusive in his aristocratic London home with two thuggish "minders" paid to care for him, he knows he is in "no man's land". Enter Spooner, a minor poet who meets Hirst in a local bar and decides to rescue Hirst and bring him back to the light of his former literary persona. Break-through theatrical writing & intense performances await you!
Presented at The Piedmont Center For The Arts, 801 Magnolia Avenue, in the heart of Piedmont. Handicap accessible; complimentary wine/cheese/brownies served before each show & at intermission. Running time: 70 minutes with one intermission.
