EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Enjoy nighttime dive shows in the Academy's Philippine Coral Reef tank.
Set a collision course for Earth in the planetarium with two screenings of Incoming!, narrated by George Takei.
Catch a special presentation by award-winning journalist Daniel Glick, in conversation with Seeker host and sci-news personality Trace Dominguez, about his recent feature in bioGraphic, “The Lungs of the Planet,” exploring how the Amazon rainforest “breathes.”Made possible by the Academy’s Osher Fellows Program, Glick joined scientists and adventure cinematographer Corey Rich in the field and will share stories and videos from the expedition’s most harrowing and inspiring moments. 
View rare marine reptile skulls found by Ray “Dr. Bones” Bandar, skull collector extraordinaire, from the Academy’s world-class research collections and hear the fascinating stories behind them.
Learn how to distinguish science fact from fiction when a team of Academy scientists busts common science myths and misconceptions.
In The Terrace Restaurant & Bar, Adult Chemistry presents “The Science of Viticulture.” Sip from a flight of wines ($18 for four) from Girard Winery and Kunde Family Winery as you learn about their scientific approach to producing delicious wine.

Music in the Piazza by DJ Sep (Dub Mission)
This event is for adults 21+ only. A valid ID is required for entry, no exceptions.The event is from 6-10pm. Last entry is at 9pm.

Last entry for our Rainforest exhibit dome is at 7:45 pm. 
Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
Planetarium passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early event arrival is strongly recommended due to limited capacity and high demand for passes.

A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6:00-9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace Bar & Restaurant, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby.
There are multiple bar areas located throughout the museum. Each bar features a unique seasonal cocktail!
All bars accept cash and credit cards.
