Her passion for food and cooking is an important part of who she is. She's long been a strong supporter of local, sustainable agriculture and farming, and is so excited to support small businesses and local agriculture through NextGenChef. She believes that what’s good for the earth is good for our bodies and wishes to help everyone achieve their healthiest self. She couldn’t agree more with the NextGenChef slogan: eating right is a human right.
Krish Rathi, Founder of Oorja Nutrition
Krish Rathi is the founder of Oorja Nutrition. He holds a master in engineering. He served in the tech industry for several years. Later, he became a certified nutritionist. He found that he could reverse chronic illnesses using food and exercise. Armed with this knowledge, he helped people through non-profit initiatives. During this time, he noticed a lack of credible food and snack alternatives in the market. Snacks that prioritized customers’ main concerns on health and nutrition. So Krish set out to make nutrition bars. He made them to exceed the existing standards of packaged nutrition. He hopes to empower people by giving them a choice to select food products that benefit them more. Krish has appeared in local Bay area TV programs offering nutrition hacks, food tips, and discussion on tough questions.Krish created and ran a large-scale non-profit health initiative to help Syrian refugees. The Syrian Support Group endorsed this initiative. It is the only organization recognized by the US Department of State for Syrian aid.
