Hailed by critics, audiences and nominated for nine Theatre Bay Area Awards - the 2014 Theatre at Large Marin County production of the indie-rock musical "Next to Normal" has a special encore presentation of six performances on the main stage at Spreckels in Rohnert Park, featuring the original Theatre at Large cast.
Featuring music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, this Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize-winning musical follows the story of a woman whose bi-polar disorder has dramatic effects on her family. With soaring melodies and an emotionally charged score, "Next to Normal" features the full power of musical theater to tell a relevant, transcendent story that leaves audiences riveted, breathless and profoundly moved.
