Event To Feature Presentation By Olympians, Dance Sport Performances
And FREE Ballroom Dance Lesson
On Saturday, June 20 from 2-4pm, NewPark Mall will host one of 700+ nationwide events to celebrate the spirit of the Olympic Movement – the Northern California Chapter of USA Dance Olympic Day. Olympic Day will take place inside NewPark Mall adjacent to JCPenney.
This Olympic Day celebration is one of more than 700 events taking place nationwide in June. They are hosted by a variety of sport-oriented organizations with the support of the United States Olympic Committee. The events are designed to promote the ideals of the Olympic movement, feature athlete appearances, family-friendly activities and interactive learning experiences.
Around the world, more than 160 countries take part in the annual celebration. Olympic Day, created in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games, focuses on the Olympic values and ideals such as fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.
