New Year's Eve Celebration at Left Bank Brasserie Menlo Park
On New Year's Eve, Monday, December 31, Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park will open at 11:30 AM with the last seating at 11:00 PM and will be serving the regular à la carte lunch menu and for dinner a $75.00 four-course prix fixe. The prix fixe will include an Amuse Bouche of Roasted Chestnut Soup with brown butter and paired with glass of sparkling wine; appetizer choices of Onion Soupe Gratinée with baguette and Emmental cheese, Rive Gauche Salade with mesclun greens, roasted beets, pickled red onions, goat cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette, Escargots with Pernod garlic butter, or Warm Goat Cheese Salade with hazelnut crusted goat cheese, mesclun greens and Champagne vinaigrette; main course choices of Braised Lamb Shank with creamy Parmesan polenta and Swiss chard, Filet Mignon, a pan roasted 6 oz. filet mignon with Béarnaise and chive whipped Yukon Gold potatoes (add truffles for an additional $15.00), Maine Lobster Tail, a butter poached 8 oz. Maine lobster tail with roasted butternut squash, wild mushroom, and leek risotto (add truffles for an additional $15.00), Loch Duart Salmon with celeriac purée, and orange and carrot beurre blanc, or Mushroom Ravioli with porcini Parmesan cream sauce and spinach; and for dessert Chocolate Hazelnut Gianduja Cake, chocolate cake, chocolate hazelnut mousse, vanilla crème brûlée center and roasted hazelnuts or Passion Fruit Tart with raspberry coulis. The prix fixe menu items will also be available à la carte, a reduced regular à la carte dinner menu will be offered, and there will not be Happy Hour service that day. Vibrant decorations in the spirit of the occasion will include multi-colored balloons and streamers and guests for the evening's last seating will receive a complimentary sparkling wine toast and party favors at midnight.
