On New Year's Eve, Saturday, December 31, Alexander’s Steakhouse in San Francisco will be seating from 5:30 to 10:30 PM and the highlight of the evening will be $500.00 eight-course black and white truffle (rather rare for a New Year's Eve menu) prix fixe with bigeye tuna tartare (with white truffle), octopus carpaccio (with white truffle), truffle-poached fluke (with black truffle), black and white truffle chawanmushi, roasted veal sweetbread (with black truffle), seared venison (with black truffle), truffled Wagyu cap, and a white truffle scorched earth chocolate dessert, plus a complimentary glass of Krug Champagne. An optional wine by the glass pairing for this menu will be available for an additional $200.00. Also offered that evening will be a $185.00 five-course prix fixe option inspired by the restaurant's regular a la carte menu.
