New Korean Cuisine - Chef Talk and Tasting

Join ASNC for its inaugural Country Spotlight Series event with Chef Nick Yoon of Surisan SF and Chef JiYoung Park of Park's Kitchen who will share their unique Californian approach to Korean cuisine. The chefs will discuss their culinary journey from Korea to California, share their ideas about how Korean cuisine is evolving, and provide a tasting for some of the unique dishes they have created that are influenced by California ingredients and reflect the Korean emphasis on nutritional balance and the health properties of food. Chef Yoon and Chef Park will collaborate on a one-of-a-kind menu that will feature Korean Kimchi Dumpling with Bonito Soup, Kimchi Shakshuka with Potato Gnocchi, Savory Buckwheat Pancake, Rainbow Shrimp Salad, and Omija Hwachae (Korean traditional fruit punch).

This event is being organized in partnership with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of Korea Week.
