ABS for Days: “With exercise and health, you start from where you are!” Darren Michaels, MSc. is a Bay Area scientist and fitness instructor who specializes in core exercises as a way to maintain balance in body and mind. James Furlow, aka Hitch is a IFBB Pro who teaches HITT classes in the Bay Area as a way to boost metabolism to lose fat, not muscle. Each class is designed to be fun, socially engaging, with a non-judgmental atmosphere. The 60 minute practice incorporates hip-hop dance moves to warm up the body followed by a short run outside to increase the heart rate. The rest of the class will focus on the abdominal region, obliques, glutes, hips, and lower back, with a stretching cool-down at the end of the practice. All levels of exercise and experience are welcome.
