New American Road Trip Launches from Global Climate Action Summit

The New American Road Trip, an electric-vehicle car tour across America, is aimed at highlighting the stories of people and emerging technologies from America's heartland that are helping ensure our nation's clean energy future.
The tour will begin at The Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco on September 14th where local city and state officials, business leaders and others will sign a call to action demonstrating their increased ambition to mitigate climate change. As soon as the ink is dry, the New American Road Trip team will transport the call to action to New York on a cross country electric car road trip, gathering inspiring stories and support from people in cities like Las Vegas, Boulder, St. Louis and Pittsburgh along the way. In these cities the tour will award a total of $40,000 to local innovators who are addressing climate change in their communities.
