NEMA, a Crescent Heights® ultramodern residential rental community located in San Francisco’s burgeoning Mid-Market district, is thrilled to announce the unveiling of its highly anticipated public art plaza at the corner of 10th and Market streets. Named “Promised Land” for its meditative spirit, the expansive outdoor art installation affords residents and passerby a unique urban space to pause and reflect in the midst of the city’s hustle, boasting cartography-inspired artwork, extraordinary greenery such as Raymond Granite planters with Japanese Black Pines, and two 20-foot-high monumental stone sculptures inscribed with bar codes that subtly invite observers to interact with the intimacy of geology.
To commemorate the opening, NEMA will host an unveiling party for residents and the public on Sunday, February 15 from noon to 4 p.m., featuring lively, spiritual-focused entertainment including a Klezmer quintet, Taiko drummers, and a Chinese table harpist. The artists, Topher Delaney and Calvin Chin, will be on-site to officially sanctify the space and provide brief tours throughout the duration of the event. Bites and beverages will be offered as guests saunter through exciting space.
