Author/Ph.D MATTHEW McKAY AFTERLIFE COMMUNICATION: WHAT I LEARNED / DO IT YOURSELF

RUDRAMANDIR TUESDAY, JANUARY 16 7:30-9:30 PM

When Matthew McKay’s beloved son Jordan was murdered in San Francisco a decade ago, he had the same questions anyone might have about a lost loved one. Is he alive? Is he well?

Matthew – a professor at Wright Institute with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology - had little spiritual interest before attempting to reach Jordan. Remarkably, he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams when he tried “induced after-death communication” and channeled writing.

A mere seven months after his son’s death, he was once again able to hear Jordan’s voice. “It was clear as a bell,” he says. And, he says, anyone can perform this process at home by themselves. At this meeting, Matthew will describe the rather simple technique he used.

Jordan told his father that he was “happier than I could imagine”…. and much, much more about life on the Other Side, and our purpose here.

We are here, Matthew now says, to learn how to love in the face of pain.

“Pain is a very necessary part of the learning process. How does God evolve? Because individual souls come to places like this on a sacred mission to learn and develop new wisdom and take it back. The Divine could not grow unless we went out in the physical world and experienced the pain that teaches us things. Pain is necessary for the evolution of God.”

“Everything that happens to us is teaching us,” Matthew says. “We can’t stop learning. There’s an attraction. Each event is pulled to us. We are each here to do something that only we can do, and that needs to be done. We are here to learn something that is different from what any other soul is learning and that all of consciousness needs to know.”

Matthew can talk to Jordan any time he wants – spirits, he says, are eager to talk, but our grief often blocks communication.

When we reincarnate to Earth (which Matthew calls "an acquired taste"), part of us remains on the Other Side. Matthew says that Jordan has already returned. As for his killer – never caught – Jordan himself merely sees a soul that was learning.

“There is no loss, there is no tragedy,” Matthew now says. “Our home is a non-physical place. Love binds consciousness.”

Matthew McKay has authored and co-authored numerous books, including The Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook, Self-Esteem, Thoughts and Feelings, When Anger Hurts, and ACT on Life Not on Anger. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and specializes in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety and depression.

Come meet Matthew, and hear the whole story! You are encouraged to bring refreshments for sharing! Rudramandir asks that you remove shoes before entering the meeting room; slippers permitted.
