“Nature Talk” Discussion and Erica Tanov Book Event, In Partnership with Heath Ceramics, at San Francisco Design Week

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Moderated by Sarah Lonsdale, co-founder of Remodelista and author of “Foraged Flora”, panel includes Lifestyle Designer Erica Tanov, Preserve Maker and Confectioner
June Taylor, and Photographer Ngoc Minh Ngo
WHAT: In today’s fast-paced and social media-driven world it is too easy to be attached to our devices and disconnected with our immediate surroundings. “Nature Talk” draws attention to appreciating the abundance of natural beauty around us, asking us to slow down, observe and re-connect with what’s right before us. Nature offers endless inspiration that is accessible to everyone.

“Nature Talk”, moderated by Sarah Lonsdale, co-founder of Remodelista and author of “Foraged Flora”, brings together in conversation Lifestyle Designer Erica Tanov, Preserve Maker and Confectioner June Taylor, and Photographer Ngoc Minh Ngo at Heath Ceramics’ San Francisco location. Each of their work is a clear reflection of their reverence and deep love of the natural world. For Erica, nature is what begins her design process and surfaces as vibrant textiles. As a preserve maker and confectioner, June nourishes with what nature provides. In her photography of landscapes and interiors, Ngoc muses upon her immense love for organic beauty. A mindful community of creatives will be brought together at Heath, designer, maker, and seller of handcrafted ceramic dinnerware and tile. “Nature Talk” seeks to illuminate the ways in which nature informs their work and how we all might refocus our eyes to the changing beauty of the natural world.

Erica Tanov will sign copies of her new book, Design By Nature (Ten Speed Press), the first design book that translates elements of nature—including wood, water, weeds, dirt and decay—into elements of decor for beautiful, lived-in interiors. The book is stunningly photographed by Ngoc Minh Ngo.

June Taylor will provide her organically-grown flower and herb infused natural syrups with prosecco and sparkling water alongside citrus candies. Additional refreshments and small bites will be served.

COST: $10 includes Panel, wine and light bites.
