Come out to the Main Post for National Night Out – a chance for the park emergency personnel and neighbors to get to know each other. This is an event for the whole family.
This event includes police and fire vehicle displays, demonstrations by the K9 and motorcycle units, and a chance to meet the US Park Police Horse Mounted Patrol, a fingerprinting station, and more! Skip the cooking and grab dinner from Off the Grid food trucks on the Main Post. Even better, avoid the traffic, and walk, ride your bike, or take public transportation (PresidiGo, Park Shuttles, or MUNI) to the park. Co-sponsored by National Park Police and the Presidio Trust.
National Night Out – a Nation-wide Event
National Night Out is part of an annual community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Each year, on the first Tuesday in August millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities in all fifty states, within U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide (note: Texas celebrates National Night Out on the first Tuesday in October).
