Musical Cafe Presents "The Paper Raincoat"

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Musical Cafe, the new musicals program of Play Cafe, is proud to announce the presentation of THE PAPER RAINCOAT in concert format on June 1 at 8PM and June 2, 2019 at 6PM at the Bay Area Children’s Theatre’s Osher Studio in Berkeley, California.

THE PAPER RAINCOAT, an original musical by Devon Copley, Amber Rubarth, and Alex Wong has been part of Musical Cafe’s new incubator program, Next Stages. Karen Altree Piemme will direct with Sheela Ramesh as musical director. Performers include: Andy Collins, Ava Maag, Kelly Powers, Jackson Thea and Ted Zoldan.

THE PAPER RAINCOAT is about creativity, love, forgiveness, and finding balance. When Grace’s dull office routine is interrupted by the death of her estranged father, she is forced to recognize how far her life has fallen short of her dreams. A coffee klatch of misfit creatives helps lead Grace along a memory-driven journey into what might have been. But as she begins to find herself, she begins to lose her connection to the people she loves. Can Grace’s personal discovery be reconciled with the relationships and responsibilities of her real life?
