Los Altos History Museum opens an offsite exhibit about the Museum's new Permanent Exhibition, "Making Connections: Stories from the Land," on September 19, 2022. This teaser exhibit, featuring some of the themes, artifacts, and visuals that have inspired the new Permanent Exhibition, will be on display through January 2023 at the Los Altos Community Center in the space earmarked for the café.
The Museum's main building has been closed since May of 2022 and will remain so until the Permanent Exhibition opens. The preview allows residents to see a sneak peek of the exciting development coming to the Museum in 2023. The new Permanent Exhibition promises to be an immersive experience complete with large video panels, interactive touchscreens, and augmented reality.
